That is exactly what happened when the team at Neurent Medical in Oranmore chose OMCSU as the beneficiary of their Jersey Day fundraiser.
For one day, colleagues swapped their usual workwear for the colours of the teams, clubs, counties and countries they support — turning a simple workplace event into an opportunity to raise funds for a local voluntary organisation.

Neurent Medical is an Irish medtech company founded through the BioInnovate Ireland programme at University of Galway.
The company has since grown into an international business developing technology for the treatment of chronic rhinitis, while maintaining a significant presence in Galway.
In 2025, Neurent opened a new manufacturing facility at Westlink Commercial Park in Oranmore, with plans to create 125 highly skilled jobs by the end of 2028.
That investment has made Neurent an increasingly important part of the local business community.
But the company’s relationship with Oranmore goes beyond employment and expansion.
Neurent has also spoken publicly about the importance of being connected to the community around it, including supporting local schools and encouraging interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Its Jersey Day fundraiser for OMCSU is another reflection of that community-minded approach.
