Last night a group of our Zone Leaders undertook @watersafetyireland training carried out by member of Galway Water Safety at @bocsi_social facilities in Clarenbridge.
Our Zone Leader are the front line of our Unit, covering every inch of the shoreline by foot. Being so close to the water, I always pays to be aware of the dangers and know how to use the tools at their disposal. Training included hazard identification, simple rescue techniques such as voice, rope and ring buoy rescues. Thank you to all who participated.
