Our Boat and Drone crews responded early this morning, beginning a search for a person who entered the water in the River Corrib last night.
Working alongside Rescue 115, Irish Coast Guard – Costelloe Bay and An Garda Síochána Galway and the RNLI, Galway Lifeboat Station, Cleggan Coast Guard
We will begin full shore line searches tomorrow morning, Friday 20th, assembling at 11:30am at the Galway Bay Sailing Club, H91W678.
Please wear warm waterproof clothing, boots, a hi-viz and also bring a sturdy stick.
We would ask people intending to search, not to bring dogs.
Searches are restricted to people over the age of 18.
